The Juppy Baby Walker

The Juppy Baby Walker is made for babies who are learning how to walk, with the assistance of a parent. The Juppy has a unique design of an underwear like crotch piece that safely holds the child in place, with a zipper and Velcro straps. With its adjustable hand straps for the parent to hold, it caters to your own height, giving your back relief without having to bend down. The Juppy is considered safer then a normal baby walker with wheels, because it requires the parents constant assistance, so there should be no worry of baby falling down stairs or grabbing things he shouldn't.

I received a cute pink Juppy baby walker to review. It reminds me a lot off those "johnny jumpers" I remember my little brother using, back in the 90's lol. My sweet cousin is in the stages of learning how to walk so the Juppy is a great thing for her :) It was pretty easy to put her in the lil pouch, with the help of her mama. We got her in, zipped and Velcro'd it up, and used the hand straps for holding. She was so very happy, jumping up and down in her Juppy, and her mama said the Juppy is a wonderful thing! No more aching back by leaning over to hold her daughter up. Juppy made two more people happy :)

The Juppy Baby Walker is made of 100% cotton and is machine washable. It comes with a little pouch that, when folded, you can put the Juppy in and transport it in your bag or even purse! Which makes it very convenient. It is a one size fits all but should not exceed 35lbs And it comes in three different colors: pink, blue or black. Makes a great baby shower gift!

One of my special readers will win their very own Juppy Baby Walker in their choice of the three colors, and can even choose to have a name embroidered on the Juppy! Follow the Rafflecopter entries below:

Vinyl Disorder's Family Vinyl Decals

You ever see those cars go by that have stick figure families posted on the back window? I see those all the time and say to myself 'When I have an SUV and my family is complete, I will have my own custom family decal on my back window' Well I don't have an SUV and my family isn't complete yet...but I was chosen to review a family decal sticker of my choice from Vinyl Disorder!

Vinyl Disorder is a great company that makes wall decal quotes or sayings, custom car decals, and all sorts of custom stickers. Out of all the designs and choices of family decals they have, I chose the Star Wars family set. I chose that one because my 5 year old son loves Star Wars and I thought it would be fun for him. The more I thought about putting a family car decal on our 97' sedan...I decided a wall decal would be way more fun...at least until I get an SUV ;) So I received my Star Wars family sticker and thought up a fun project for it. My Star Wars family sticker came with 6 figures: Chewbacca, Han, Luke, Leia, C3PO, and R2D2. I went and bought a set of 6 wood panels at Michael's and painted 3 of them blue and two of them green. Once dried, I placed the sticker on the wood and tada
I made fun new wall art for my son's room!

Since R2D2 was so tiny, he didn't make it on a wood panel, but instead, he made it on an ornamental hanging. I planned to turn it into a Christmas ornament but my son rather had it hang on his bedroom wall :) I love how the black of the sticker looks on the cardboard color but I feel it still need's something else added. Haven't figured out what yet...but take a look at the fun wall art! I love it. It matches the colors in my son's room and it works great because I don't have to worry about ruining the sticker if I needed to remove it! And with future moving, it can still be adorable art that can be placed in any design he like.

Be sure to check out Vinyl Disorder for all their great stickers and decals. They have several different kinds, in categories from A-Z ranging from animals to zombies and everything in between.

One special reader will win your very own vinyl sticker decal!! Leave me a comment below telling me what kind of decal you would be interested in and make sure to leave your email in your comment so I can contact the winner!! Good luck! :)

Unstoppable - Book Review

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

Nick Vujicic is an International Best-Selling Author of the book "Life Without Limits" and has just written his new book "Unstoppable"- the incredible power of Faith in action.

I was hoping the book Unstoppable would focus a little more on Nick Vujicic himself, but I imagine that's what his previous book, Life Without Limbs, is about and I haven't had a chance to read it yet!  Unstoppable is a good read with some great points, filled with stories about Nick Vujicic and different experiences he has gone through. He is humorous and inspirational and has reached many people around the world. He has such a great heart and lives for God, believing that everyone was created for a unique purpose and we can all be a gift to others, no matter the hardships we face.

At times, people question why we face hard times and why can't God just make it easier on us, I love how Vujicic put it... "Because throughout difficult times, you will learn more, grow more in faith, love God more, and love your neighbor more. It is the journey of faith that begins in love and ends in love." I realize not everybody will react to negative circumstances the same way, but could you imagine how much better this world would be, if we could all grow in faith and love??

Another great point I came across in this book was something one of Vujicic's friends had written him. "...when danger turns your way it's because God is about to do something great that Satan wants to stop" This is a great thought! So many times bad things get in the way of something good we got going on and honestly, a lot of times, the bad seems to overcome the good. If we can remember to push through the bad to keep with the good, we will surely see the great thing God is about to do...and Satan can shove it and be intimidated to see we're not scared of him.

There's some encouraging bits in the book Unstoppable, a book I know several people were just waiting to read! I'm glad I was given the chance to read Unstoppable, given to me from Waterbrook Multnomah.

Cookies for breakfast? +Recipe

Cookies for Breakfast sounds crazy..but delicious..right?!? Who's with me? Well I came across-what sounded like an amazing breakfast cookie recipe, over at Wise Bread, and I was really looking forward to these cookies turning out, but I must have done something wrong somewhere!!

I followed the recipe exactly which is: 3 ripe mashed bananas, 1/3 cup apple sauce, 2 cups uncooked quick-cooking oats, 1/4 cup skim milk (except I used lactose free whole milk, could this be where I went wrong?)  1/2 cup raisins (or any other dried fruit you want to add), 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tbsp Splenda , sugar or other sweetener (I used normal sugar).

The batter seemed ok but a little wetter then I felt it should have been...I went ahead and continued anyway. I let mixture stand for at least 5 minutes as said and heaped the dough by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. I then baked for 15-20 minutes and let cool.

Here is a picture of how they turned out:
Very rubbery like and kind of a wet banana flavor...

Since my batter was so wet, I decided to add some flour and a bit more of sugar to see if that would help. The texture turned out a lot better but the flavor was just gross.

I was a little bummed and really wonder why mine didn't turn out?

Clay Sculpting

Wanted to share: My son is quite the sculptor when it comes to clay ;) He's five years old and sculpted a man sitting on the toilet lol. He even made a rug, a box of toilet paper, and the sink :)

DIY Kids Blaster Jet Pack!

My son was wanting a blaster jet pack to run around the house with so I made him a fun and simple one from scraps!! Two clear plastic disposable cups, red and orange construction paper for the flames, tape, and yarn. I cut two tiny holes in the top of the cups to slide the yarn through and tie it around into shoulder straps. I then cut out flames from the construction paper and taped them inside the cups, and put the jet pack on my son! Super easy and so much fun for him.

Turned out pretty cute right?!

Growing Green Onions & Other Indoor Gardenings

Have any DIY indoor gardening tips to share?

I've came across a few while searching through pinterest but one in particular I wanted to try, also because my mom had done it and had extremely good luck with it!

Growing green onions from the white ends of the ones you buy in the store!!

It seemed so easy and I thought it could sit in my kitchen window.

Doesn't it look cute in my tiny white coffee cup?

Cute..all but it didn't last. It attracted gnats so I had to toss it :(

So if you've tried this, how did it turn out for you? I hope to try this again in the future when we move out of this apartment that seems to attract gnats easily!

*UPDATE: I tried this again, but planted them in a tiny pot outside on my balcony...
it attracted aphids, bad. What rids aphids? (besides ladybugs lol)
Needless to say, my green onions didn't survive.

Covergirl Blast Flipstick Review

As a Bzzagent, I was sent 3 different Covergirl blast flipstick lipsticks to review
along with some coupons to share.

Each flipstick has two shades, one on each side. One shade is a softer tone, made for daytime, and the other shade is a dark tone made for a night out. You can blend the shades together to create a unique color scheme, or you can wear each color separately. The best part of these lip sticks is there are sooo many color possibilities that you will never be bored in choosing a new lip color!

The three shades of Covergirl blast flipsticks I received are: Minx, Stunner, and Vixen. Each of these shades are different for each skin type so some may work for you that doesn't work for others.

Minx is a much darker tone, with a brownish color on one side, and gold on the other. I found this color way too dark for my skin tone but mixing the two colors made a sexy maroon shade, just a bit overly dramatic for me.

Stunner has a fluorescent like pink color on one end, and a gold-orange shade on the other. Off of my lips, I absolutely loved the colors but once applied, it was so bright on my face,
It just didn't match who I am.

Vixen was a much sweeter tone of the three, with a lighter pink on one end a a soft mauve on the other. This one was my favorite because it blended soft with my skin, giving it a more natural look but it had added shimmer for a great night look too.

Covergirl gives some great tips on how to blend your colors together and figure out the right shade for your skin. You can get "color-matched" to find you perfect tones for not only your lips, but your eyes and face too! You can also find Covergirl on Twitter and check out
some great pinboards on Pinterest!

Charmin Freshmates Flushable Wipes Review

I received coupons from Vocalpoint, for Charmin Freshmates Flushable Wipes, one being a buy one get one free coupon. So while I was at Walmart the other day, I bought a 4-pack of Charmin Ultra toilet paper and got a free tub of Charmin's Freshmate flushable wipes! I never use any other toilet paper then White Cloud but this worked great because my hubby's work is collecting items for families in need, for Christmas, and toilet paper was on their list, so we gave it to them :) I have been trying out the flushable wipes and find them to be nice! They have a fresh cucumber smell with a soft texture and they leave you feeling clean. There compact wipe tub sits nicely on the back of my toilet, ready for the whole family to use! :)

This post is sponsored by Vocalpoint for sharing coupons with me.

Cardboard Castle

What better way to use up a cardboard box, then to build a cardboard castle!! My son was happy with this idea :) He got to play with his giant Dragon and Knight guys with it. Of course our kitty thought it was her new play house...but it was some good fun!

lil man turned the box this way and said "hey it looks like a train!"
Some good rainy day fun.

Late Thanksgiving Post + Table Art

I just realized I never posted about our Thanksgiving! So here it is, nearly Christmas, writing about how our Thanksgiving went :) It was just us 3, me, my hubby, and our son. I decorated our table with a large brown bag paper and laid out markers so my son could enjoy coloring. Designing our own "table cloth" made a nice Thanksgiving memory, one I just might keep for each year!

My sweet hubby made our Thanksgiving dinner. Went with an non-traditional Thanksgiving meal consisting of Tonkatsu chicken,  Cajun mashed potatoes, pasta salad, and steamed buns. I made Monkey Bread as a dessert.

Our Thanksgiving was nothing like I planned, mostly because I ended up being super sick that day and was stuck to the couch feeling miserable, for most of it. We did watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on TV so that was enjoyable. Despite being sick and me missing the large family gathering, it was an overall pretty good day.

(Below is our table art:)

Chocolate Peppermint Candies

Over at SheWearsManyHats, I found a yummy looking recipe post on how to make homemade peppermint patty candies. To make these, all you need is cream cheese, confectioners powdered sugar, peppermint extract, and chocolate chips. I didn't have peppermint extract so I used vanilla in place of it,
and just ground up a candy cane in my blender. It didn't make it as pepperminty as I wanted, but it did the job enough lol. They came out pretty but way too sweet for my liking. I think it was all the powdered sugar that did it! But they were fun to make! :)

Mix the ingredients and roll into balls and flatten. Refrigerate for a lil bit.
Then top them with melted chocolate. I didn't have melted chocolate or anything chocolatey
in my house except for chocolate frosting lol. So I used that! Which is probably another reason
these came out too sweet for my liking ;)

They came out kind of cute. Would have been cuter if it was topped with my peppermint sprinkles. But I didn't think of that until later haha. Fun little Christmas treat...
but I suggest you follow the recipe to the T to get it right :)
